Welcome back to The Play Date Cafe colors combo challenge!
For new crafters, like myself, their challenges are about color combinations and are always posted every Thursday. Please head over here for their simple rules. I love playing with The Play Date Cafe and I try to play every week because they open my eyes to color combinations that I’d never thought of putting together, like this week’s combination; trend setting colors – burgundy, terracotta and icy blue. This combination kept me puzzled for a few days until my “light bulb” moment yesteday. These colors scream spanish decor – terracotta tiles, beautiful flower beds on the window with pretty flowers grown with love!Β With that in mind, I created this card:
And the inside of the card is:
The terracotta color is a mixture of tea dye, vintage photo, fired brick and wild honey distress reinker.
Supplies:
Not shown in the picture is Recollections lace ribbon adhesive that is used to embellished the rose patterned vellum paper and Recollections rhinestones put on the dandelion.
I hope you like the card. π
